Success and a Surprise

I'm just going to start off by saying that, on January 5th of this year, I finished the first draft of "Here's to the Underdogs!" It was bittersweet, having to say goodbye to any furthering of the plot, but I consoled myself with the knowledge that I have a few more drafts to complete with these characters before I have to say goodbye to them. After a day or so more of my hiatus, I'll start working on the second draft as well as working on a new book. :)
I've spent an hour or so today working on some updates to the website, one such update being the comments. I thought I was being smart when I added one simple comment box to the footer, but it turned out to be a bad idea. So now there is a separate comment box on every page, meaning that when you write a comment, it should only appear on the page on which you made it. I also added a link to the PDF for "Ella's Retelling". I'll let you have some fun finding that, though it's not really hidden. If you search and cannot find it however, simply leave a comment on the "Finished Works" page and I'll point it out.
It was my niece's birthday yesterday, and it was requested of me to draw a giant mermaid for her party. My sister then painted and decorated it, and the two of us -- along with my oldest niece and nephew -- stayed up past midnight decorating. The house looks absolutely magical.
So far, it's been a great start to 2019. :)
